The Beginning

A good thing i have always felt must have a great beginning. For beginnings belie what is to come. It is like the preamble to the Indian Constitution. As soon as you read it you know what is going to follow is a load of idealistic(almost euphemisitc) and lofty headed statements in archaic English with a lot of flowery words written by well meaning and genial old men and women which will eventually be bent and contorted by their equally ill meaning successor babus to meet their own interests and needs.SO without further digression lets get back to the Beginning. Which beginning?(C´Mon yaar you cant be drifting off already). The beginning of my blog.

But how to begin? Well what better way than to reveal the inspiration behind the title and ensure that scholars in aeons to come will not trouble their minds trying to figure the true meaning and intent of this pregnant statement. Well in this politically correct world one knows that two words that are most frowned upon are opinionated and judgemental. But if one doesnt hold an opinion or form a judgement of the world that he lives in then what meaning is there to his existence. He just flows along with the tide accepting what is held to be the common wisdom and the collective right. Not an ideal situation in my opininion for social right and public sanction changes. But values and truth are eternal. And every man´s truth is his own choice. A choice that has to arise from his own conscience. For when it arises from the conscience that truth will be a mirror image of the Truth. So i invoke you my brothers and sisters as fellow instruments in the eternal flow of thought and ideas to think and subject the facts that present themselves to you to your mind and conscience. With an incisive mind only can you reach the truth that lies behind the facade of fact. Let that truth be your opinion and that opinion be the basis of your judgement. So whatever you read here is my opinion and my judgement. It is fully subject to your opinion and judgement too. To echo the thoughts of a famous French philosopher, i may not accept your opinion but will fight for your right to voice that opinion of yours.

For the members of the constituent assembly visit.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian_Constituent_Assembly
I initially had Sucheta Kriplani in mind as the one person whom i could name (and caused me to add the women).
